Mostly I spent this week dehydrating food for long-term storage. Usually I'll dehydrate a lot of food, place it in freezer bags. Then once I have a good amount, I get out the vacuum sealer and package it all at once.
I also bought a small food processor at a garage sale ($4). I used that to chop up the dried roast chicken and dried fish. Next I'm going to package the chicken with rice and vegetables, the fish is going into a chowder. Both of these will reconstitute in about five minutes with a cup or two of hot water.
Tomorrow I'll give you my recipe for one of those soups. Have a good day.
