Persecution of Christians

When describing the end of time for His disciples, Jesus told them to expect earthquakes, famine, terrible things, then He add:

Luk 21:12, 16-17  But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake. And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.

So, He's saying before the terrible times (Tribulation?) we would begin to experience persecution. So is that happening?

Let's see:

Just because the headlines don't mention persecution in the United States, you would have had to have had your head buried in the sand a couple of weeks ago not to see the obvious persecution about a remark made by the owner of Chik-fil-a. I mean, the man was just about crucified by the left, homosexual-kowtowing media!

While most of the Christian persecution around the world is either by communist governments or by muslims, the persecution in the United States can usually be laid at the feet of the LBGT community.

Hatefilled gay fascist continue to attack Christians

Supports of gay marriage attack Christians, as well as the Mormon church because it was very active in fighting Prop8. Watch another mob of gays attack an 80-year-old Christian over Prop8. I find it ironic that those complaining the loudest about hate, are those so vocal and threatening in their hatred of anything having to do with God, Jesus and the Bible.

Jesus said it would happen, and what you are seeing is just the very tip of the iceberg. As time passes, the persecution even in the U.S. will become more blatant and more deadly, until the incidents are no longer isolated by are mandatory and endorsed by the government.
