Days Shortened for the Elect's Sake

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
Mat 24:21-22

Most of you know this, but the earthquake in Chile a few days ago had an interesting effect on this whirling ball in space we call the Earth. It was moved on it's axis.

This evening on the news the result of this shift was revealed. Days will be shorter. True only a millionth and a half of a second...but what happens as more and more earthquakes occur on the Pacific Rim of Fire, where this latest earthquake occurred?

I was at my desk and looked up at the television as they began talking about the effect of the shift. What I saw on the screen was "Days Shortened". I kind of got goosebumpy and believe this is just the beginning of the days being shortened.

That also tells me that we are right at the cusp of the start of the great tribulation (if not already into the very beginning days of it)

This should not cause fear in anyone, but a rejoicing that we are that much closer to being with our Heavenly Father. Rejoice! For your Redemption draws nigh.

I'm Back

I can't believe how long it's been since I've posted here. I've been busy working and making my own preps. I've also been studying prophecy even more. Doing more word studies, trying to find out exactly that the Bible says that Christians can expect during the Tribulation.

Since the Great Tribulation is a time when the Anti-Christ under Satan's control persecutes Christian and Jews (and anyone else who refuses to bow to him), then we know times are going to be difficult. However, there's also much in the Bible about God's protection for His people, so I'm trying to figure out, according to the Word, what this protection is.

Are the promises of protection only for a time other than the Tribulation? Is it only for a certain Believers? Is there something about the Tribulation that is meant to be a separating of the sheep and goats? The sheep meaning those who "know" His voice, and the goats being those that are more interested in serving God for what they can get, or have "itching ears" or "who loved not the Truth"?

Anyway, I'm going to be studying this and will keep you updated. If you have any ideas based on your own studies, that you can back up with scripture, then I will be more than happy to welcome your comments.
