Psalms 91 Survival Homestead

For a couple of years new I have been the owner of the Survival Homestead Yahoo Group, a group of over 300 members that discuss preparedness, while avoiding contentious subjects like politics and religion.

However, I had seen a need for a group where the focus would be preparedness based on Biblical prophecy. I invite you to check out the Psalms91 Survival Homestead Yahoo Group. If you have been feeling alone in your preps, and yet feeling like the Holy Spirit is definitely telling you to get ready for what is about to come on the earth, then you will find fellowship and encouragement here.

Psalms 91, Part 5

Psa 91:14 Because (truly, surely) he hath set his love (delight in) upon me, therefore will I deliver (slip out, escape, carry away safe) him: I will set him on high (lofty) , because he hath known (familiar friend, discern, endued with) my name (authority, character).

This is the Father saying, because he (you or I) take delight in Him, then He will carry us to safety or help us escape to a high (out of the way of danger) place because we have discerned (understood and acted upon) His name and authority.

Psa 91:15 He shall call upon (address by name, pronounce, proclaim) me, and I will answer (pay attention, respond, shout) him: I will be with (before, beside) him in trouble (tribulation, affliction, distress) ; I will deliver (pull off, equip for fight, strengthen, loose, prepare) him, and honor (numerous, rich, honorable) him.

Again, He promises to pay attention/shout (implies a "jump to it" kind of response) when we address Him by name. He will be beside and before us in tribulation (the Tribulation?); He will equip and prepare us to fight and will enrich and honor us.

Psa 91:16 With long life (forever, sunrise to sunset) will I satisfy (have plenty of, satisfy, sate) him, and show (appear, joyfully look, visions) him my salvation (deliverance, victory, prosperity) .

We will have a long satisfying life, and He promises to show us deliverance, victory and prosperity.

Hey, folks! We WIN!!!

Psalms 91, Part 4

Psa 91:11 For he shall give his angels (dispatch a deputy, messenger, ambassador) charge (enjoin, command, set in order) over thee, to keep (guard, protect, attend to) thee in all thy ways. (course of life, journey, manner)

What a wonderful promise of protection! The angels are dispatched or sent to guard, protect and attend to us the entire course of life. That tells me that this promise is for right now.

Psa 91:12 They shall bear thee up (lift, raise, help) in their hands (palm of hand, hollow), lest thou dash (plague, gore, defeat, stub, hurt) thy foot (step, be able to endure, possession) against a stone.

These angels will help and hold us in the palm or hollow, which implies protection so that we can endure any plague or hurt.

Psa 91:13 Thou shalt tread (go over, tread down) upon the lion (roar) and adder (twist) : the young lion (walled village) and the dragon (serpent, monster, jackal) shalt thou trample under feet (tread upon or down)

We will (and do now) go over the roaring lion, no matter how strong and invincible the enemy (walled village) (satan is described as the "dragon" and "serpent") may appear, we can and shall walk all over and tread the enemy under our feet!

We do not have to fear the enemy.

Psalms 91 - Part 3

Psa 91:7 A thousand shall fall (die, fail, perish, rot) at thy side, and ten thousand (abundance, myriad, millions) at thy right hand (south?) ; but it shall not come nigh thee (bring near, attack, approach, overtake).

I don't usually remember my dreams, but I do remember one I had years ago. I was living in a city and some major disaster (manmade) had occurred. I was walking down the streets looking for someone and people were literally lying in the streets, sidewalks and yards dead or dying. Yet I was totally unaffected by whatever it was that was bringing them down. When I woke up I remembered this verse.

Psa 91:8 Only (merely, although) with thine eyes shalt thou behold (consider, look down) and see the reward (retribution) of the wicked (condemned, ungodly) .

We will see the downfall of the wicked. In the times ahead, we will see the wicked literally taken down.

Psa 91:9 Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge (shelter), even the most High, thy habitation (abode, temple, retreat);

We will only see this and not experience it ourselves if we under the shelter of the Lord.

Psa 91:10 There shall no evil (bad, sorrow, adversity, great grief) befall thee, neither shall any plague (blow, infliction, stripe, stroke wound) come nigh (approach, bring near) thy dwelling (covering, home, tabernacle, tent).

I don't know how no "great grief" will befall, because if tens of thousands are dying around me, I know that I'm going to experience sorrow. But perhaps this is a promise that the Lord will supernaturally protect us from being debilitated by grief?

Since the Word says that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit and that we are to "tabernacle" or rest in the Lord, I don't know if this is saying that our physical home or dwelling will be protected or that only our physical body will be safe from the surrounding plague that is afflicting others?
