God Provides Needs Daily

I have found the faithfulness of God a true blessing as I rely on Him to "husband" me and provide for my needs.

When I decided that I wanted to raise rabbits as a source of meat both now and for the troubled times ahead, I had very little money. However, two months later I have a complete rabbit-raising facility. I used Freecycle to obtain my first hutch...the miracle being that they delivered it to me!

I obtained several of my rabbits free thru Freecycle or Craigslist. I found more hutches for very cheap, but they definitely needed some intense TLC. That was going to require some 2x2's and 2x4's, which I didn't really have the funds to buy.

Again the Lord provided. A house near my place was being gutted and remodled and there was a huge pile of lumber in the front yard. Figuring nothing ventured nothing gained, I stopped and inquired about the wood and was told I could have it all. Since I don't have a truck I offered my neighbors the opportunity to have some lumber if we could split the load. They were thrilled and I ended up with a pile of lumber that I'm still working on using up.

I still wanted to build a 3-hole hutch that I'd designed for my needs and the yard. However I needed some 2x4 or 4x4 sheeting...again the Lord provided via Freecycle when someone offered some castoff lumber from residing their place.

While all of this may seem a bit trivial to some, I have found that my Heavenly Father is interested in every aspect of my life. He takes care of my needs as promised, sometimes providing even before I ask. Start the adventure of asking the Lord to be involved in your life. Nothing is too small for His attention.

This type of relationship will become even more important as the rest of the world is reeling from the economic turmoil and a depression that many are speculating will be worse than the 1930's. There is a promise of provision in the Bible that I stand on every day: "My God will supply all your needs according to His riches in Glory".

You see it's based on His riches...not on the failing dollar, the inflationary price of gold or the current job market.

He knows what you have need of before you even ask...so ask.

Just remember it's your needs He will supply, not your wants.

Sounds of Silence

Someone on a Christian Tribulation preparedness group posted a link to an article about the possible sinister purpose of the sudden Governmental-imposed switch to HDTV. Talking about the mind-control potential, constant subliminal messaging being fed directly into our homes as a way of control the population.

Interestingly enough there was some comment about the device being used on the television broadcasts of during the recent presidential race. Could account for the almost overwhelming worship of the candidate who won.

I visited the website and a couple of things bothered me about the undercurrent of the article. While I believe in all likelihood there is some truth to the allegations, I wondered about the source. This blog is published out of France, and the over all philosophy is very anti-God, anti-Israel and very pro-self.

The emotion triggered by the article was fear. Fear that that our government could really do this...fear that we won't have control...fear. Believers should all be aware that fear is an evil spirit ever looking for an opportunity to attack. The Word says: "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love, and of power, and of a sound mind."

That is the scripture that I am going to be standing on..."a sound mind" is what God has given me. I do not need to fear what the evil ones may try to do. I'm reminded that "they shall dig a pit and fall into it."

Here are some scriptures about our minds, and why I believe that if we, as Believers, will arm/shield ourselves with the Word of God, then we have nothing to fear from this device...of course, sitting for hours in front of the television is NOT the way to protect your mind and arm yourself.

Isa 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. I believe if we will stay focused on Jesus Christ that we will have peace and a "steady" (a "sustained" "established") mind

Mat 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. We have to make sure we love God with our mind as well as our heart. It's not an emotional, just on Sunday experience. Our mind must be a rooted and grounded in the love of God

Mar 5:15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

Luk 8:35 Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. The battlefield of the devil and demons/evil spirits is the mind. I believe that much of this technology is simply a physical way to open a doorway for entrance by spirits. Just as a sudden and intense physical trauma can be an open doorway to fear, pain and other spirits, is it possible that this "silent" weapon is only a tool. This is even more likely when one considers this verse: Rev 17:13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

Rom 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. We must continually be alert and actively renewing our mind in the Word of God.

Php 3:19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things. If our mind is NOT being renewed in the Word, the end will be destruction because we are focusing on the wrong things.

1Pe 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; "gird up the loins of your mind" ... "gird up"...I'm reminded of the old tv shows where the gunslinger would be heading for a showdown and would adjust his gunbelt and settle it more firmly around his hips. That is really what "gird up" means and "loins" literally means "the creative force"...so we are being told to "get ready for battle by donning the creative force that is our mind and to watch (be sober)".

I don't know if this will help anyone else. But it has helped me know that what I suspected and wondered about (why would the government be so concerned about my television viewing pleasure) and to know that my decision to NOT get the box and to disconnect my satellite tv last week, just might have been the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Whatever...I am NOT going to fear what man can do, I am sheltered under the shadow of the Almighty.
