God Provides Needs Daily

I have found the faithfulness of God a true blessing as I rely on Him to "husband" me and provide for my needs.

When I decided that I wanted to raise rabbits as a source of meat both now and for the troubled times ahead, I had very little money. However, two months later I have a complete rabbit-raising facility. I used Freecycle to obtain my first hutch...the miracle being that they delivered it to me!

I obtained several of my rabbits free thru Freecycle or Craigslist. I found more hutches for very cheap, but they definitely needed some intense TLC. That was going to require some 2x2's and 2x4's, which I didn't really have the funds to buy.

Again the Lord provided. A house near my place was being gutted and remodled and there was a huge pile of lumber in the front yard. Figuring nothing ventured nothing gained, I stopped and inquired about the wood and was told I could have it all. Since I don't have a truck I offered my neighbors the opportunity to have some lumber if we could split the load. They were thrilled and I ended up with a pile of lumber that I'm still working on using up.

I still wanted to build a 3-hole hutch that I'd designed for my needs and the yard. However I needed some 2x4 or 4x4 sheeting...again the Lord provided via Freecycle when someone offered some castoff lumber from residing their place.

While all of this may seem a bit trivial to some, I have found that my Heavenly Father is interested in every aspect of my life. He takes care of my needs as promised, sometimes providing even before I ask. Start the adventure of asking the Lord to be involved in your life. Nothing is too small for His attention.

This type of relationship will become even more important as the rest of the world is reeling from the economic turmoil and a depression that many are speculating will be worse than the 1930's. There is a promise of provision in the Bible that I stand on every day: "My God will supply all your needs according to His riches in Glory".

You see it's based on His riches...not on the failing dollar, the inflationary price of gold or the current job market.

He knows what you have need of before you even ask...so ask.

Just remember it's your needs He will supply, not your wants.
